KALIBO, Aklan – A young Filipina entrepreneur is stirring waves abroad in impactful causes that help increase the awareness and adoption of cryptocurrencies and help impact many people’s lives.
Jonha Revesencio Richman revealed on social media that she recently joined the Tour de Crypto as their advisor.
Cryptocurrencies are a kind of alternative currency and digital currency (of which virtual currency is a subset). Cryptocurrencies use decentralized control as opposed to centralized digital currency and central banking systems.
The Tour de Crypto platform educates charity organizers and the general population on cryptocurrencies in the United Kingdom. The entire tour is documented daily with live feeds and interviews that are shared across all social media sites for maximum exposure. The tour will occur annually as it becomes stronger – similar to the implementation of cryptocurrencies throughout the world.
Richman was born in Balete, Aklan.
Prior to her current stint, Richman was a firm advocate in gender sensitivity in the cryptocurrency industry.
“People needed to be judged on their talent and not on their connection or gender,” she said.
Jonha built her career in social media strategy and community management at several companies, including Google, Pepsi, Bloomberg, and a start-up company called RebelMouse where she thrived as a Digital Marketer for a good two years.
Among the accomplishments of Richman includes being named one of the “25 Blockchain Influencers Disrupting the Industry” (2018); one of the “Top Ten Females in Crypto” (2017); and among the “Top Ten Most Influential Leaders in the Philippine Tech Scene” (Asia Hack, 2014), among others./PN
