ILOILO City – He was about to get on board a motorcycle when he was shot.
The 28-year-old Jethro Ferrer of Nueva Valencia, Guimaras died, a police report showed.
The shooting happened around 5:50 p.m. on Friday in Barangay Ungka II, Pavia, Iloilo, police said.
Ferrer – an employee of a soda company in Ungka II – died of a gunshot wound on the body.
Pavia police head Chief Inspector Fernand Limbungan said the suspect was riding a motorcycle he used to escape after the shooting.
Lumbungan believes that the incident was a case of mistaken identity.
Ferrer’s brother Jonel was also a target of a shooting on Dec. 15 in Pavia. But the gunman missed, he added.
