BACOLOD City – A man and his 9-year-old son died after they figured in a road crash in Sitio Mambusao, Barangay Tabu, Ilog, Negros Occidental.
The 45-year-old Joemarie Aguirre and son Anthony were on board a Rusi tricycle on their way to a wake in Sitio Mombay, Barangay Talacdan, Cauayan, Negros Occidental when the incident happened, a police report showed.
They were navigating the road when they crashed against a parked blue Fuso truck around 9:05 p.m. on Saturday, the report added.
Joemarie’s 19-year-old son Leggery was driving the vehicle. He was injured.
The Aguirres were rushed to the Lorenzo Zayco District Hospital in Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental where attending physician Dr. Jade Leuterio pronounced Joemarie and Anthony “dead on arrival” around 11:50 p.m./PN
