LIZA Soberano and Enrique Gil flew to New York on Tuesday night to film some scenes for their upcoming movie “Alone/Together.”
Speaking to ABS-CBN News just before their flight, the two expressed how delighted they are over how people received the first teaser of their film.
“I found the theories really funny. Actually they were all very creative. Nakakatuwa. From a short teaser pa lang, ang dami na nilang naiisip. I am really excited to reveal the story to them,” said Soberano.
According to movie producer Black Sheep, the first teaser of “Alone/Together” garnered more than 5 million views in just 24 hours after it was posted online.
With this kind of reception, Gil and Soberano said they are definitely over the moon.
“I feel nervous and excited. I just want the movie to come out,” said Gil.
“I am really happy with the reception of everybody. It’s been such a long time since we last had our own movie. We are really excited for our fans. We are excited to watch ourselves also on the big screen again,” Soberano said.
“Alone/Together” follows the love story of Christine (Soberano) and Raf (Gil), who cross paths again eight years after they first met during their college years.
Antoinette Jadaone, the director and writer behind “Alone/Together,” has described Soberano’s Christine as an “over-achiever” – she graduated magna cum laude from the BA Art Studies program of UP Diliman, and dreams of becoming a museum director at renowned attractions like The Met and The Louvre.
Gil’s Raf, meanwhile, is the opposite. “Umuulan ng singko at incomplete,” Jadaone said of the character, who is a BS Biology student from the University of Sto. Tomas. “Ang dream niya, simple lang — maka-graduate lang.”
“Alone/Together” will hit cinemas nationwide on Feb. 3. (ABS-CBN News)
