ILOILO City – Three individuals were arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Ticud, La Paz district.
They were Marshelyn Jaranilla of Barangay Buenavista, Silay City, Negros Occidental, Jelly Gumabras of Barangay 11, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental and Julie Mark Parreño of Barangay Banago, Bacolod City, a police report showed. All of them are 20 years old.
They were nabbed after selling a sachet of suspected to a poseur-buyer for P2,000 around 8:45 a.m. on Sunday, the report added.
A total of four sachets of suspected shabu were recovered from the suspects. Drug paraphernalia were also seized from them.
The suspects were detained in the lockup cell of La Paz police station.
Charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, will be filed against them./PN
