BACOLOD City – A man was hacked in Barangay Punta Mesa, Manapla, Negros Occidental, a police report showed.
The 24-year-old Ruiz Lopez of Barangay Mabini, Manapla sustained head injuries, the report added.
Police said the 41-year-old Jimmy Sarsa of Barangay Ruiz Lope, Manapla attacked Lopez using a bolo while they were having an altercation around 10 p.m. on Saturday.
They were both drunk, added the cops.
Lopez was brought to the Ikaayong Lawas Medical Center in Victorias City, Negros Occidental for treatment.
Sarsa, on the other hand, was detained in the custodial facility of the Manapla police station./PN
