BACOLOD City – Police arrested a 10-year-old boy for carrying an improvised shotgun locally known as sulpak.
The gun was recovered from the minor at a checkpoint on Gustilo Boulevard in Barangay Zone 1, Cadiz City, Negros Occidenta around 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, a police report showed.
Officers from the Cadiz City police station also seized five cartridges of a 12-gauge shotgun from the boy, the report added.
The minor was placed in the custody of the police station’s Women and Children Protection Desk.
He will be turned over to the Department of Social Welfare and Development./PN
