BACOLOD City – Properties worth around P70,000 went up in smoke after fire hit a residential area in Barangay Handumanan.
The blaze began at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, a Police Station 10 report showed. A “fire out” was declared at 3:10 p.m.
The fire affected two houses – one owned by Ramil Narzo was totally destroyed while the other, owned by Meraluna Montenegro, was partially damaged.
Both houses were made of light materials, police said.
Unattended fire in Montenegro’s house was the cause of the incident, investigation revealed.
No one was injured or killed in the fire./PN
