‘More gov’t offices to be established in Antique’

SAN JOSE, Antique – More government offices will be established in the province to provide locals accessible services, according to Sen. Loren Legarda.

Legarda said this when she distributed educational assistance to college and graduate school students at the Binirayan Gymnasium in this capital town on Tuesday.

“We will work out for the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) to have an office here in Antique,” she said.

Legarda announced the plan after learning the difficulty in going to the PRC regional office in Iloilo City for the renewal of licenses – this despite the PRC conducting its “PRC on the Road” program to bring services closer to the people.

The lady senator added that the Department of Foreign Affairs and other national government agencies seek to establish offices in Antique.

Legarda said she is hopeful that this will materialize to address the needs of the Antiqueños for accessible transactions to government offices. (PNA/PN)
