2 of 4 Bacolod multimillion-peso flagship projects up for bidding

BACOLOD City – Many companies joined the bidding for two flagship projects in the city yesterday, said City Assessor Maphilindo Polvora.

These projects are the P350-million Progreso Village Relocation Site development and P200-million road and bridge development.

These are two among the four flagship projects of the Leonardia administration that will be funded by the P1.7-billion loan of the city government from the Development Bank of the Philippines.

Polvora – also the chairman of the Bids and Awards Committee – said they have yet to choose the winning bidders.

He added that on March 1, they will start bidding the P350-million development project for the Bacolod City College.

Another flagship project is the P800-million construction of Bacolod MassKara Coliseum.

The four projects are “meant really to improve our day-to-day life in Bacolod,” said Mayor Evelio Leonardia./PN
