OUR BELOVED country has been mercilessly ravaged under the regime of Corazon Aquino upon assumption to the presidency by force in 1986 in cahoots with oligarchs.
They called it revolution; I called it an ultimate people power mockery. They invented historical events to suit their demonic mission by spreading lies against President Ferdinand Marcos whom Cory considered her most hated mortal enemy.
Anything associated with Marcos, though beneficial to our country and people, Cory scrapped. She did not continue what her predecessor initiated for the nation’s development. She hated to give credit to the man she vilified.
Cory extended her hatred even to First Lady Imelda Marcos for unfathomable reasons. People privy to Cory’s indifference with Imelda suspected that the latter’s physical beauty and brains made her insecure. Comparing the two is tantamount to playing a game of truth or consequence. Truth could be a painful reality. Consequence is a suicidal act of defeat.
Imelda’s classic beauty was – and is – legendary whereas Cory had nothing to show at all.
When Ferdinand Marcos flew into exiled in Hawaii at the height of “People Power” it was his fervent wish to go back to his country to answer all the accusations of the Aquino government. Cory was deadly scared of facing the truth for she has nothing to show at all.
Fast forward to her son’s presidential ascendancy in 2010…series of manmade calamities took place in the early years of his presidency. The hostage-taking at Rizal Park was a prelude to more demonic events under President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III. Nobody took responsibility for the carnage where a score of visiting Chinese tourists lost their lives due to the mishandling of the police force; take none, there was only one hostage-taker.
President PNoy refused to make a diplomatic apology for doing so kuno was tantamount to a weak leadership. It was only when President Rodrigo Duterte came into office that a formal diplomatic apology was extended to the Chinese government. This was accepted wholeheartedly sans fanfare and pompous celebration.
Others have the strong belief that the Aquinos brought curse with them since the assassination of their patriarch. True enough, the country was in chaos. President Marcos’ legacy of genuine reforms was totally ravaged by a vindictive woman whose only reason for a syndicated uprising was to change the course of history to suit their agenda to a lifetime governance of corruption.
We, the citizens, are partly to blame as we let the Aquinos be. We gave them blanket authority to rape us without mercy.
Maybe God must have a reason for giving us the Aquinos – as punishment for our idiocy.
Thirty long years of sacrifices, living a life of misery submissive to the oligarchs is a sacrilege. We believed too much and depended on the woman we revered, putting her on a pedestal of false prophets, singing hosannas as if even her fart was perfume. My ass! (nr4237085@gmail.com/PN)
