DTI turns over new equipment to Antique high school

SAN JOSE, Antique – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) turned-over its shared service facility project (SSF) to San Pedro National High School (SPNHS) in this capital town on Monday.

Around 800 SPNHS students will benefit from DTI’s P300,000 SSF.

DTI assistant regional director Ermelinda Pollentes and provincial director Mercedes Young turned over dough mixer, horizontal continuous band sealer, heavy duty steamer, and working table for cookery.

“The machinery, equipment and tools brought by this project aims to improve the competitiveness of the students with subjects in cookery,” said DTI information officer Lynna Joy Cardinal .

School Principal Marilyn Sorilla extended her appreciation to DTI’s “We Learn, We Earn” income generating project intended to the in-school youth.

The equipment was placed in the Technological Vocational Livelihood Laboratory of the school where is accessible to students, said Sorilla.

Pollentes said there are 48 shared service facilities scheduled to be launched in various schools and MSMEs in the province. (With PIA/PN)
