BACOLOD City – Negros Occidental vice governor Eugenio Jose Lacson urged the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) to take action on Manapla residents’ complaints addressed to the local fire station.
“If you want to maintain that respect, I think an action from your office is suggested,” Lacson said on Wednesday.
He added the stall owners and residents of the town demand action following the local town’s fire station failure to respond during a fire incident.
Properties estimated to be worth P45 million went up in smoke after the blaze charred the Manapla public market on Feb 15.
The provincial government has provided P6 million financial assistance to the affected residents and P20 million for the market rehabilitation./PN
