ILOILO City – A man got injured when his firearm accidentally went off, a police report showed.
Barangay Subong, Maasin, Iloilo resident Denmark Casquete sustained a gunshot wound on the left leg.
He was confined at the Western Visayas Medical Center in Mandurriao.
According to the police, Casquete was inside his house with a friend when the unlicensed .45-caliber pistol he was carrying fired and hit him around 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Charges for violation of the election gun ban and Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, will be filed against Casquete./PN
