ILOILO City – Five persons were injured after a car and a van crashed against each other in Barangay Sto. Domingo, Arevalo district.
They were Jules Dariel Saligbon, 27, of Barangay Cagamutan Sur, Leganes, Iloilo; Paul Adrian Laurilla, 34, of Molo, Iloilo City; Wendy Simundo, 28, of Sta. Barabara, Iloilo; Rhofritz Trabuco, 29, of Barangay Tacas, Jaro, Iloilo City; and Paul Tan, 29, of Barangay Bantud, La Paz, Iloilo City, a police report showed.
All of them – who were on board the car – sustained abrasions and body pain, police said. They received treatment at the Western Visayas Medical Center in Mandurriao.
The van driven by the 28-year-old Reynel Campo Barangay Tiring, Cabatuan, Iloilo hit the car that Saligbon was driving around 10:10 a.m. on Sunday, the report stated.
The car was bound for Barangay Mohon, Arevalo, police said.
Campo, who suffered from chest pain, refused to undergo treatment. He was detained in the custodial facility of the Arevalo police station./PN
