BACOLOD City – An asset of Philippine Army was shot to death in Barangay Igmaya-an, Salvador Benedicto, Negros Occidental.
Fifty-nine-year-old resident Florence Canete sustained gunshot wounds on the body, a police report showed.
According to police investigation, Canete was riding a horse when unidentified gunmen peppered him with bullets around 4 p.m. on March 20.
Officers of the Salvador Benedicto police station have yet to identify the suspects and the motive in the incident./PN
