Cash, jewelry lost to NPA rebels

BACOLOD City – Around 30 alleged New People’s Army (NPA) members carted away jewelry valued at around P70,000 and cash worth P26,000 in  Barangay Caradio-an, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental.

The armed suspects break in a house owned by 54-year-old Wilfredo Buenaflor, a police report showed.

According to police investigation, the robbers, who identified themselves as NPA, forced Buenaflor and his family to give cash and jewelry around 8 p.m. on Saturday.

Officers of the Himamaylan City police station have yet to identify the suspects who fled after the incident./PN
