Pen gun lands construction worker in jail

BACOLOD City – For allegedly threatening his neighbor with a pen gun, a man was arrested in Barangay Luna, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental.

The 24-year-old Christopher Surban, a construction worker, of Barangay Luna, Cadiz City was caught around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, a police report showed.

Surban’s arrest came after the 18-year-old Jude Villanueva complained him before the Cadiz City police station.

The police recovered from Surban a pen gun loaded with two live bullets.

He was detained in the lockup facility of the Cadiz City police station.

Charges for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, and the election gun ban were filed against Surban./PN
