BACOLOD City – He was found dead in Barangay 2, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental.
Fifty-year-old Gregorio Bangilan of Barangay 1, Himamaylan City was found dead near the river, a police report showed.
Resident Eddie Pakumberta discovered Bangilan’s body around 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, the report added.
According to police investigation, Bangilan was believed to have been drowned while harvesting oyster.
Bangilan was brought to the Governor Valeriano M.Gatuslao Memorial District Hospital in Himamaylan City where the attending physician declared him “dead on arrival.”
Officers of the Himamaylan City police station ruled out foul play in the incident./PN
