MANILA – Officials of the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) on Monday inspected the terminals of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in preparation for the Holy Week on Monday.
MIAA general manager Ed Monreal checked the readiness of airport personnel for the anticipated influx of passengers in the Holy Week.
Monreal was satisfied with the situation at NAIA Terminal 3 where the passengers are still few and the operation is manageable.
Under the Oplan Biyaheng Ayos: Semana Santa 2019, additional security measures will be implemented to ensure safe, reliable and convenient operation in all commercial airports in the country.
Airport officials reminded the passengers not to bring prohibited items to the airport.
They also advised them placing their belongings like cellphones and other gadgets in carry-on luggage at screening checkpoint to speed up the operation.
More than 100 milligrams of liquid like tanning lotion are not allowed to be carried by passengers. Such items should be placed inside check-in luggage. (GMA News)
