BACOLOD City – A man was killed in a road crash in Barangay Tabugon, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.
Forty-six-year-old resident Angelito Paner sustained body injuries, police said.
According to police investigation, Paner was driving a motorcycle when a cargo truck driven by 41-year-old Jonathan Pilapil of Barangay Salong, Kabankalan City hit him around 3 a.m. on Monday.
Paner was brought to the Lorenzo D. Zayco District Hospital in Kabankalan City where the attending physician declared him “dead on arrival.”
Pilapil was detained in the lockup cell of the Kabankalan City police station, facing charges./PN
