ILOILO City – A sex worker was caught in an antidrug operation in Barangay Sto. Niño, Arevalo district, a police report showed.
Barangay North Baluarte, Molo resident Joy de Jesus was arrested after she sold a sachet of suspected shabu to a poseur-buyer for P600, the report added.
Antidrug personnel of the Arevalo police station staged the sting operation around 8:15 p.m. on Saturday.
When frisked, de Jesus – a surrenderee of the Philippine National Police’s “Oplan Tokhang” – yielded two more sachets of the suspected illegal drugs.
De Jesus was detained in the lockup cell of the Arevalo police station and facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
