BACOLOD City – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Negros Occidental conducted a sweeping operation in the city’s “port of entry” as part of the “Oplan Huli Week.”

PDEA’s Airport and Seaport Interdiction Team led the random security checks at Bredco port in Barangay 10 around 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

The sweeping operation was in conclusion of the Oplan Huli Week which kicked on April 15 held in Bacolod City’s bus terminals.

PDEA personnel also distributed advocacy materials and comics to the commuting public.

The agency’s ongoing interdiction initiative is in line with the tightened security measures to prevent entry of illegal drugs in Western Visayas. (With a report from Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 6/PN)
