BACOLOD City – Charged with rape, a laborer was arrested in Barangay Manalad, Ilog, Negros Occidental.
Police identified him as 29-year-old resident Johnrey Mendoza.
Mendoza was nabbed on the strength of an arrest warrant around 2 p.m. on April 15, a police report showed.
He was detained in the lockup cell of Ilog police station but was later turned over to the custody of the Regional Intelligence Unit-6, the report added.
The court did not recommend a bail bond for Mendoza’s temporary liberty./PN
