ILOILO City – Jewelry worth around P300,000 went missing in a house in Barangay San Isidro, La Paz district.
Owned by 48-year-old businessman Solaiman Macalimpao, the items were allegedly lost to “akyat bahay” robbers.
Among the items were a gold necklace worth P165,000, a gold bracelet worth P30,000, and a Philip Stein watch worth P105,000, a police report showed.
Macalimpao said they discovered the items were gone when they came back to their house around 7:30 p.m. on Sunday.
The robbers also took P100,000 cash, he added.
La Paz police chief Captain Mark Salvo said the robbers gained entry through the window of the house which was left open when the Macalimpaos left.
Officers of the La Paz police station have yet to identify the suspects./PN
