BACOLOD City – Suspected shabu valued at around P30,000 was confiscated from two individuals in Purok Paghidaet, Barangay Zone 4, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental.
The suspected illegal drugs contained in five sachets were seized from the 37-year-old Barangay Bata resident Jessie Javier and his girlfriend April Espinosa, 28, of Barangay Tadlong, Sagay City, Negros Occidental, a police report showed.
They were caught after they sold suspected shabu to poseur-buyer for P500 around 2:15 p.m. on April 23.
The couple tried to evade arrest but failed, said Police Major Robert Mansueto.
They were detained in the Cadiz City police station. Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, were filed against them./PN
