Why Vice apologized to December Avenue for singing band’s song

VICE Ganda took to Twitter on Monday to reach out to OPM band December Avenue in light of their out-of-town show for the Baybayon Festival in Camarines Sur.

In his tweet, the ‘It’s Showtime’ host expressed his apologies for singing a portion of their song during his act, unaware that the band was set to perform next.

“I just had a show in CamSur. Super sorry sa December Avenue kasi nakanta ko sa sing along part ng program ung kanta nila not knowing na sila ung kasunod ko. I apologize. My bad,” he wrote.

But December Avenue were quick to assure Vice that it was no big deal and that they had, in fact, enjoyed his set.

Keri lang mamshie! No need to apologize! We all enjoyed your set, super laughtrip ingat pauwi and see you soon!” they replied.

The Unkabogable Star, a self-proclaimed fan of the band, appeared to have been touched by the gesture in his later tweet.

“Love you December Avenue!!! Hope to see you guys again soon. I’m a super faney,” he wrote.

This wasn’t the first time that the two artists performed on the same stage. In early of January, December Avenue guested on Vice’s comedy talk show “Gandang Gabi Vice” to perform their hit song “Sa Ngalan ng Pag-ibig.” (Push)
