ILOILO City – Suspected shabu valued at around P60,000 was recovered in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Calaparan, Arevalo district.
The suspected illegal drugs contained in 41 sachets were confiscated from two drug suspects identified as 38-year-old Mark Oliver Tolentino of Barangay Botong, Oton, Iloilo and 34-year-old resident Ronald Sabarillo, a police report showed.
Tolentino and Sabarillo were arrested after they sold a sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover officer for P1,000 around 7:45 p.m. on May 20, the report added.
Personnel of the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit 6 staged the sting operation.
According to the police, the supply came from Bacolod City.
Tolentino and Sabarillo were detained. They were facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
