ILOILO – The provincial government’s Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) has resumed.
Due to the recent midterm elections, AICS was suspended from March 29 to May 12, the campaign period.
“People in need of financial and burial assistance can now be served by our office,” said Dr. Neneth Pador, chief of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) which handles the AICS program.
Between 30 to 80 individuals seek assistance at PSWDO every day, Pador revealed
“Sige-sige na ang aton paghatag sang assistance because indi man puede nga indi mabuligan ang mga tawo, especially ang ara sa ospital nga nagakinahanglan sang bulong,” she stressed.
The following are the requirements that clients for medical assistance must bring with them:
* medical certificate and hospital bill from the hospital
* certificate of indigency from the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO)
* certificate of residency from their respective barangay captains
According to Pador, the financial assistance will depend on a client’s
hospital bill.
Meanwhile, the following are required from those seeking burial assistance (P3,000):
* original copy of death certificate
* certificate of indigency from the MSWDO
* certificate of residency from barangay captains
For 2019, the provincial government allotted P5 million for the AICS program./PN
