BACOLOD City – In Barangay Bi-ao, Binalbagan, Negros Occidental a 56-year-old man was stabbed to death.
Resident Vicente Martinez sustained stab wounds on the body, a police report showed.
The suspect was identified as 38-year-old Jinefer Bernadez of Barangay Tap, Kabankalan City, the report added.
According to police investigation, Bernadez and Martinez were having a drinking session when a heated argument ensued between them around 3 a.m. on Saturday. This prompted Bernadez to stab the victim using a bladed weapon.
Bernadez was detained in the Binalbagan police station’s custodial facility, facing charges./PN
