New DPWH reg’l head vows to support high-impact projects

ILOILO City – Lea Delfinado is the new director of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Region 6.

Delfinado assumed her new post on May 22. Prior to this, DPWH assistant secretary Antonio Molano Jr. acted as the concurrent DPWH director in Western Visayas.

Delfinado – who worked as assistant director of DPWH Region 6 from 2011 to 2015 – said she was happy to have returned to the regional office.

She vowed to support high-impact infrastructure projects in Region 6.

Delfinado has served at the Guimaras District Engineering Office and at the Negros Occidental 1st and 2nd District Engineering Offices as district engineer.

She had also been assigned as the officer-in-charge of the now defunct DPWH Negros Island Region in 2015.

Furthermore, Delfinado served as director of the Bureau of Design at the DPWH Central Office in Manila in 2017./PN
