BACOLOD City – A 40-year-old man was stabbed to death in Barangay Vista Alegre, Ilog, Negros Occidental.
Resident Fummy Velasco sustained stab wounds on the body, police said.
According to police investigators, Velasco and his half-brother Renante Lucerna were having an altercation around 2:18 p.m. on June 1. This prompted Lucerna to stab Velasco using a bladed weapon.
Velasco was brought to the Kabankalan City District Hospital where the attending physician declared him “dead on arrival.”
Lucerna meanwhile was detained in the lockup cell of the Ilog municipal police station, facing charges./PN
