BACOLOD City – The Bacolod City Traffic Authority Office (BTAO) has impounded around 247 ‘colorum’ vehicles from their recent operations.
Lieutenant Colonel Luisito Acebuche, BTAO head, said its part of their “One Time, Big Time” initiative targeting unregistered vehicles and erring motorists.
During the four-day operation, the traffic authority apprehended around 100 motorcyclists for violating the city ordinance requiring them to wear helmets.
Violators of the “riding-in-tandem ordinance” were also nabbed.
According to Acebuche, BTAO will deploy around 50 traffic enforcers to various schools today for the opening of classes./PN
