Kalibo to install new traffic lights

KALIBO, Aklan – The local government unit here will put up additional traffic lights to be installed in the capital town’s major thorough fares.

The traffic signal facility is funded by the 20-percent development fund of Kalibo.

Town mayor William Lachica initiated the project which aims to improve the traffic flow on Kalibo’s major streets and commercial areas.

The stoplights with countdown timers costing P3.822 million are expected to ease congestion on Fortunato Quimpo Street near Mabini Street and Aklan Provincial Hospital.  (With a report from Akean Forum/PN)
