Bacolod City fetes top taxpayers, employees

BACOLOD City – The city government here recognized top taxpayers for 2018 and outstanding employees for 2019 during the 1st Charter Day celebration.

Mayor Evelio Leonardia led the awarding ceremony together with Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran, Cong. Greg Gasataya and city councilors on June 18.

Senator Cynthia Villar, who was the event’s guest speaker, congratulated the awardees.

Kayo ang proof that the city is really practicing god governance,” said Villar.

The top tax-paying companies for 2018 were the following:

*Mainstream Business Inc.

*SM Prime Holdings Inc.

*Freemont Foods Corporation (Jollibee)

*San Miguel Brewery Inc.

*Neo Foods Corporation (Jollibee)

The top individual business taxpayers for 2018 were the following:

*Jerry Sy of Silver Dragon Construction and Glass Supply

*Ofelia Lacson-Montelibano  of Felicia’s Retail and Pastry Shop

*Manuel Po of LJP Trading;  Pio Escala Villaester  of GPM Trading

*Alvin Yu of Bacolod Triump Hardware.

Meanwhile, the top 10 real property taxpayers for 2018 were the following:

*Coca-Cola FEMSA Philippines

*SM Prime Holdings Incorporated

*Philippine Airlines

*Dynasty Management and Development Corporation

*SM Mega Holdings.

The top tax-paying individuals for 2018 were the following:

*Jose Antonio Alonte Jr.  of  Reclamation Area;

*Stephanie Chiu of Diamond Marketing

*Rolando Corona Jr. of Samat St. Mt. View Subdivision

*Catherine Ong of Diamond Marketing

*Nilbert Lamata of Sharina Heights

During the event, the city government also recognized Ma. Luisa Esmeres, Homesite and Housing Regulations officer III of the Bacolod Housing Authority as the outstanding employee for supervisory level.

Edmund Neil Mamon, draftsman III of the City Planning and Development Office and Nolito Langreo, light equipment operator of the City Engineer’s Office, meanwhile, garnered the same award for non-supervisory level.

The top taxpayer awardees received a plaque of recognition and the feted employees also received P12,000 cash each./PN
