SACRED Heart School–Ateneo de Cebu Magis Eagles emerged as champions in the San Carlos City’s 59th Charter Day Invitational Volleyball held at San Carlos City in Negros Occidental.
The Magis Eagles came out as champions after defeating Trinity Christian School of Bacolod in the gold medal match. Calvary Baptist Academy bagged the bronze medal trophy.
The Magis Eagles was dominant as it swept its group matches against Trinity, Bacolod Tay Tung High School Thunderbolts and La Carlota before defeating their semifinals foe to reach the finals.
Other participating teams in the two-day event were University of St. La Salle-Bacolod, Pontevedra selection and St. John’s Institute Falcons.
The pocket tournament was organized by the San Carlos City United Volleyball Players Association Inc. in cooperation with San Carlos City Sports Office./PN
