Yeng takes down vlog about Siargao incident

YENG Constantino was recently called out for shaming a doctor on social media following her husband’s accident in Siargao. From a diving spot in Sugba Lagoon, he was rushed to Dapa Siargao Hospital. The singer complained about the lack of hospital facilities and the doctor who attended to her husband. Yeng named the doctor and posted a photo of her on social media.

The singer has now taken down the posts and apologized to the medical staff. In a Facebook post, she said, “Regarding the Siargao incident, ang mga recent posts ko were brought about by my [strong] emotions dahil sa nangyari sa aking asawa, whose life at that time I thought was in grave danger. Pagkatapos kong kausapin ang mga taong malapit sa akin, I realized I should have been more responsible with my posts.”

She apologized to the doctor and medical staff “for the hurt that my post and vlog have caused them.” She said, “Whatever concerns I had should have been coursed through the proper forum. It was unfair to call her out on social media and I’m taking down the posts and the vlog immediately. I’m deeply sorry for the hurt I caused her at sa lahat ng mga medical professionals who were affected by my posts. There is no excuse. I will do my best to be more responsible next time.” (Cosmo.ph)
