BACOLOD City – A senior citizen was found dead after committing suicide in Barangay Tapi, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.
He was 68-year-old Nelson Gelladuga Valencia, a police report showed.
Valencia was found by his son Christian hanging from the ceiling of their house with a blanket tied around his neck around 12:15 a.m. on Friday, the report added.
He was brought to the Barangay Tabugon Hospital in Kabankalan City where the attending physician declared him “dead on arrival.”
Police officers ruled-out foul play in the incident./PN
