BORACAY – The former consul of the Department of Foreign Affairs in Prague considered promoting this world-famous island to European countries as a “big challenge.”

Jed Dayang, now the Special Assistant to the secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs, said these challenges include the influx of tourist arrivals and long hours of flight going to Boracay.

In July this year, international website, Travel, included Boracay in the top three most crowded destinations in the world. First on the list was Machu Picchu in Peru, followed by Venice in Italy. Boracay is third.
“Boracay is famous among the Europeans. They knew Boracay Island was rehabilitated for six months. But there’s a wide impression among them that Boracay is already crowded. What the European wants is a place where they could relax and unwind privately. I knew this because in my personal capacity, I am promoting Boracay to my friends,” said Dayang./PN

  1. I’d have to say your not a good friend if you are promoting Boracay to them.

Boracay is overcrowded, prone to flooding, full of loudmouth drunks, drugs, theives, prostitutes and sexual deviants.

  2. Just come back from boracay as a European visiting, never go back or tell my friends to go there overcrowded, rude people not a place to relax. Thailand eats this place hands down.
