KALIBO, Aklan – A 41-year-old drug surrenderer was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Estancia in this town.
Police identified him as Efren Villanueva.
Villanueva – resident of Andagao, Kalibo – was nabbed after he sold suspected shabu to an undercover officer for P10,000, police said.
Joint elements of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Aklan, Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit and Kalibo municipal police station conducted the drug sting around 5:10 p.m. on Aug 8.
Villanueva was brought to Iloilo City for drug testing.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against him. (With a report from Akean Forum/PN)
