BACOLOD City – A drunken man was stabbed dead in Barangay Caliling, Cauayan, Negros Occidental.
The 41-year-old resident Jose Edilfredo Mahilum died of a stab wound on the chest, a police report showed.
Police identified the suspect as 55-year-old resident Felix Alipio.
According to the police, Alipio stabbed Mahilum during an altercation between them around 6:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Mahilum was brought to the Cauayan District Hospital where the attending physician declared him “dead on arrival.”
Officers of the Cauayan municipal police station conducted a manhunt operation against Alipio, who fled after the incident./PN
