ROXAS City – A village official turned over his loose firearms to the police in President Roxas, Capiz.
Liga ng mga Barangay president Ferdinand Bacanto surrendered his gun to patrolling officers of the municipal police station in Barangay Culilang on Aug. 18.
The cops were having an information dissemination campaign at the time.
Bacanto turned over 2 improvised shotguns, a patented shotgun, a .45-caliber pistol, an improvised grease gun, and a .38-caliber revolver.
Municipal police station chief Captain Armando Clavaton said this is part of their intensified drive against loose guns in the town.
