ILOILO City – In Barangay Balatucan, Panit-an, Capiz, a laborer was stabbed.
He was 38-year-old Eric Pabalinas of Barangay Concepcion, Talisay City, Negros Occidental, a police report showed.
The 57-year-old Jesus Binibini was tagged as the suspect, it added.
Police investigation showed Pabalinas and Binibini were having a drinking session when a heated argument ensued between them around 8 p.m. on Aug. 25. This prompted Binibini to stab Pabalinas.
Pabalinas sustained a stab wound on the chest, police said.
He received medical treatment at the Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital.
It was not immediately established what the motive was.
Police officers have yet to arrest Binibini, who fled after the incident./PN
