206 WV villages ‘drug cleared’ anew

ILOILO City – A total of 206 out of 323 barangay applicants were “cleared or officially declared unaffected” during 16th Regional Oversight Committee deliberation of the Barangay Drug Clearing Program (BDCP) last week.


Thirty-three municipalities from the provinces of Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, Iloilo, and Negros Occidental took part in the deliberation with their mayors, chiefs of police and other members of the different local government units.

The deliberation conducted is a product of intelligence validations of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and Philippine National Police to include the Department of Health and the Department of the Interior and Local Government requirements, and as members of the Regional Oversight Committee of BDCP, with PDEA as chairman. (With a report from PDEA-6/PN)
