ILOILO City – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Western Visayas bestowed a plaque of appreciation to Panay News Defense beat reporter Ruby Silubrico for helping bring the agency closer to the public by reporting its programs and operations.
PDEA recognized media partners yesterday when it marked its 17 anniversary at the Diamond Jubilee Hall here.
No less than PDEA Region 6 director Alex Tablate handed Silubrico the plaque of appreciation.
“Media people are our partners in performing our job. They inform the community what our office is doing, our programs and advocacies,” said Tablate.
He acknowledged that even media criticisms helped PDEA.
“Kasi dahil dito mapa-improve natin ang ating performance and do better. Nagpapasalamat ako ating partners in the media,” said Tablate./PN
