ILOILO City – Charged with rape, a man was arrested in Barangay Lawi, Jordan, Guimaras.
The 56-year-old Erwin Moneacan was caught on the strength of an arrest warrant around 10 a.m. on Sept. 14, a police report showed.
Moneacan – resident of Barangay Barroc, Tigbauan, Iloilo – faces charges for violation of Republic Act 7610, or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.
The suspect was detained in the lockup facility of the Jordan municipal police station.
The court recommended no bail bond for his temporary liberty./PN
