ILOILO City – A farmer was shot in Barangay Atimonan, Janiuay, Iloilo.
The 49-year-old resident Charlie Latoza sustained a gunshot wound on the body, a police report showed.
Latoza’s 25-year-old nephew Reggie Jamili was tagged as the suspect, the report added.
Police investigators said a heated confrontation ensued between Latoza and Jamili around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
This prompted Jamili to shoot Latoza, the investigators added.
Latoza was brought to the Western Visayas Medical Center in Mandurriao district for treatment.
Officers of the Janiuay municipal police station conducted a manhunt operation against Jamili, who fled after the incident./PN
