REAL-LIFE couple Kim Molina and Jerald Napoles will star in the Viva Films movie “Jowable.”
Aside from her well-loved roles in “Kadenang Ginto” and “The General’s Daughter,” Kim Molina is set to star in the upcoming Viva Films offering “Jowable.”
Initially a viral short film-turned-book, “Jowable,” which was written and directed by Darryl Yap, will center on Kim’s character Elsa who has been yearning to have a “jowa” since she has no boyfriend since birth.
Starring with Kim in the movie is her real-life sweetheart, fellow thespian Jerald Napoles.
During the film’s media conference on Sept. 13, the couple was asked about how they felt while doing their love scenes.
Both Jerald and Kim admitted to feeling awkward considering that they are a real-life couple.
Kim said, “Mas awkward siya for me. Pero with Je [Jerald], medyo kinabahan ako. Kinailangan kong magprepare.
“Kasi hindi naman siya ‘yung typical na bed scene like what I did with Kit. It’s different kaya mas awkward siguro kasi very detailed,” she further said.
Likewise, Direk Darryl added, “’Nung bago i-take po ‘yung bed scene, si Kim po, medyo spaced out na. Parang tulala siyang konti. Kasi po, basa talaga [sila] from the rain. Kaya ‘nung kinakausap ko si Je sa gusto kong mangyari, ‘nung sinabi niyang naintindihan na niya, t’saka niya na kinausap si Kim,” adding that the two took the scene professionally as they considered many technicalities like blockings in doing so.
Indeed, for Kim, doing this scene with her boyfriend is much more difficult. Pero nagawa naman po namin at ‘nung nag-dubbing naman po ako, tawang tawa po ako,” she said, assuring the media that the scene still has a lot of funny parts to show.
“Jowable” is set to hit cinemas on Sept. 25. (Push)
