Shooting incident lands man in hospital

BACOLOD City – Police are still locating the suspect in the shooting of a man in Barangay Tan-awan, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.      

Wounded was 35-year-old resident Zaldy Arsalem. He sustained a gunshot wound on the elbow, a police report showed.  

The 28-year-old resident Mario Garces Jr. was tagged as the suspect, police said.

Arsalem was driving a motorcycle when Garces shot him using an unknown firearm around 8 a.m. on Sept. 22, the report added.  

The motive in the incident was not immediately established.

Arsalem received treatment at the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital in this city./PN
