BACOLOD City – A man was arrested for illegal transportation of charcoal at a checkpoint in Barangay Granada.
The 47-year-old resident Edgardo Pilapil was caught illegally transporting 14 sacks of charcoal inside his jeepney, a police report showed.
A .38-caliber revolver with live bullets was recovered from Pilapil when police manning a checkpoint frisked him around 3 a.m. on Sept. 30, the report added.
The suspect was detained in the lockup cell of Police Station 5, facing charges./PN
